My name is Simon Gibbons and I have trained in martial arts since I was 8 years old.  I started in Judo and trained under Alan Petherbridge.  As a teenager I moved on to Tae Kwon Do and competed in a number of local semi contact tournaments.  For 9 years I trained under Paul Wheel at the WPT Thai Boxing Gym in Swansea.  Whilst doing this I achieved a 3rd Dan grade in Jakado, Black/Gold arm band in Thai Boxing and became an instructor.   I taught alongside Paul for 6 years.  During that time I attended seminars with the Amalgamated Warrior Arts and trained with Bob Spour and Master Pimu.  I have since gained my red arm band under Phraya Pichai.

I used to compete in WUMA European Championships and won a number of fights.  I now concentrate on passing my knowledge onto students who wish to fight or those who just wish to improve self confidence and self protection.

The club is now into its fifth year.  We teach at Penllergaer Village Hall, Penllergaer, Swansea.  Since the start of the club we have gained success in Thai and Kick Boxing tournaments.

Tony Sadler retired as an Instructor in March 2011.  We would like to thank Tony for all his hard work over the years.  We are very grateful for his time and input into the club.
